Great managers remain "undiscovered" when they do not have the resources to commit to an effective sales and marketing effort. We seek to support managers in this situation with engagement terms that do not require a high up front financial commitment. Because of this, it is imperative that we only represent managers for whom we have the best chance of raising significant assets. A synopsis of our vetting process is below.
Manager Selection Process
Our manager vetting process focuses on the people and process behind the strategy. We have found the following attributes to be essential for ultimate sales success:
Culture - Employee owned, independent investment firms must be able to show a commitment to continuity both through the integrity and qualifications of the owners and the team they surround themselves with.
Process - A strong process that is easy to explain and clearly repeatable is essential. We seek to evaluate historic performance through an attribution process which validates that the stated process has been adhered to on a consistent basis.
Product - Strategies must have at least a 3 year track record in a style for which there is an existing need in the market place.
Coverage Match - We evaluate each manager's current platform availability and sales coverage against our network to ensure a that our efforts will be complimentary.
